I'm living and working as an ALT in Japan. I teach English, survive earthquakes and Typhoons, and try everything I encounter. I'll use this space to collect blogs, photos and other awesome artifacts of my adventure along the way. 
Pocket Ninja and I are making macarons. I lost my “smooth tip” pastry bag thing to the gunk in the sink, so swirly macarons will have to do. Fingers crossed they work! I used Tartelette’s recipe on Bakerella.com to whip them up. Making the meringue without a mixer is tough work.
* also, it’s now warm enough here in Shizuoka that I can wander about my house in a tank top! Yippee!!!
